The SOLID ROCK DANCE ENSEMBLE

Out of a support received from Foreningen Roskilde Charity Society-Denmark in 2011, Solid Rock Association out of the initiatives of the Youth Preventive Work-Train Point Module has also, established the Solid Rock Dance Ensemble.

The ensemble is a cultural music and dance product, an ensemble and engine, which exhibits the musical genius of traditional and cultural arts-dynamism. Some of the carved music instruments which became products out of the carving training sessions are currently used during training sessions.  

The establishment of the Solid Rock Dance Ensemble is part of a tailored objective to promote arts and culture in Ghana by, providing a productive alternative for the industry in Ghana and, also address the arts want and needs of the youth. Solid Rock Association hopes to create the opportunity and platform where creative youths ready to explore and showcase their arts to the world get to do so freely and with available support and assistance to sustain their livelihood.

The Solid Rock Dance Ensemble has been formed with the prime focus to train and give opportunities to under resourced but artistic talents who are interested in showcasing their arts through music and dance on the world-stage.

The Ensemble fervently anticipates an opportunity and honour, to soon participate in the July-2012 Roskilde Festivals.

the group extends intensive rehearsals have begun which has attracted several individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Group Membership

Solid Rock Dance Ensemble cast is made up of unemployed but experienced and professional, cultural musicians and dancers interlaced with beginners and learners who also express equal wish and desire same training and opportunities.

 

Solid Rock Dance Ensemble activities-performance are managed and directed by a technical team and the congress management of the Board of Directors and Executive Committe of Solid Rock Association.   

With intensive reheasals in to support preparations, the group is ardently training collectively to explore the opportunities of the world arts-stage.
